07 QGIS integration
To start with, create a WFS connection from QGIS to GC2.
- In the Database tab, click the Services button.
- Copy the string from the top field (WFS-T)
Then you go over to QGIS.
Note that your QGIS setup may look different from the pictures.
- Establish a new WFS connection.
- In the WFS dialog, click New.
- In URL, insert the string from GC2 and in Name write any name.
- Click OK.
- Click Connect.
- Choose which layers you want to download and set up.
- Click Add.
- Set up the layer with the desired styling.
- Save the project.
- Back in GC2 Admin click on New layer.
- In the upload dialog, select QGIS.
- Click Add Files and select your QGIS project file (here Untitled.qgs)
- Click start upload.
- Subsequently, which layers have “received” QGIS styling are shown.
Now used QGIS Server graphic back-end and styling from QGIS can be seen.
- Note that it may be necessary to click Update in the Tile cache tab to recreate the tile cache.
